Customs carrier

Transportation services are provided by the Group's own motor transport company, TRANS-BUSINESS NORTH-WEST LLC. It is the largest motor transport company in St.Petersburg included in the Single Register of Customs Carriers. The total number of both owned and leased trucks is above 500.

Customs broker

Trans-Business Broker was one of the first companies in the Russian Federation to be included in the Single Register of Customs Brokers in accordance with the Customs Code effective from January 1, 2004 (Certificate No. 0009/00).

Insured liability

All cargoes to be transported by Trans-Business are insured under the General Policy issued by ROSNO Insurance Company. There is no liability limit under this Policy and liability limit per accident is USD 700,000.

Specialized technology

We have developed and deployed special technologies for customs clearance and terminal handling of cargoes, such as:

  • E-declaration
  • Pre-declaration
  • Electronic data exchange with cargo terminals
  • Handling planning for container terminals
  • Arranging for unloading of containers from ships and stacking them into separate stacks followed by the delivery of motor vehicles for loading on an extraordinary basis
  • Direct "ship to truck" loading of cargoes without stacking them at terminals

Convenient office location

Trans-Business is the only company in St.Petersburg which runs offices at all major points of container and bulk cargo transshipment in the Big Port of St.Petersburg. We were the first to offer services available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

In-house software

The logistic process at all sea cargo terminals is managed with the use of the unified software developed and maintained by the Company's in-house IT function.
All the departments operate within a single time and technology field based on the IT technology, which enables us to interfere with deliveries at any point and make any adjustments (should a customer so wish). Automation of the support programs enables Trans-Business to provide each customer with complete information about the freight status in real time which makes our services transparent.

Experience in deliveries to assembly lines

Speed and accuracy of delivery to the ultimate destinations by land transport are the determinant factors for the delivery of goods to assembly line production facilities where a buffer store is, in fact, lacking and sea transport is an element of the logistic chain.
In order to meet these needs, the Company has established a separate division to deal with customs clearance and ensure trouble-free delivery of components to vehicle assembly plants.
By building up capacity gradually, we were able to adapt effectively to growing demands and develop technologies for customs clearance and terminal handling of automotive components that are unique in the Russian Federation. This is what enabled us to achieve rapid, reliable and dynamic deliveries.

Professional staff

Professional staff of the customs and forwarding functions amounts to more than 150 people. All employees dealing with customs clearance hold Qualification Certificates of Customs Clearance Specialist issued by the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation in accordance with effective customs legislation.
